Fridge Poetry

This fridge-magnet style poetry page uses word suggestions based on a Markov chain analysis of famous poets. In 1993, songwriter Dave Kapell, invented Magnetic Poetry when he was using the cut-up method to break his writers block. He was chopping magazines into small pieces of text to mix them up for inspiration, when he had the idea to stick the words to magnets and attach them to a cookie sheet, so they would not get blown around. He soon moved them to his fridge, started selling them as kits, and it because a hit craze in the 1990s. Magnetic poetry is actually a more fun variation of a vocabularyclept poem (invented in 1969 by Howard Bergerson), where words of an existing poem are rearranged into a new poem.
